About us
First announced in 2014, the PackTheFuture Award is based on an initiative of ELIPSO, French Association for Plastic Packaging and Flexible Packaging and IK Industrievereinigung Kunststoffverpackungen e.V.
The aim of the competition is to draw attention to the innovative potential of plastic packaging throughout Europe. This European award offers the member companies of ELIPSO and IK an ideal platform to promote the sustainability of their packaging solutions.

The IK Industrievereinigung Kunststoffverpackungen e.V. is the trade association of the German plastic packaging industry. Our headquarters are in Bad Homburg. Our association has around 300 member companies. In addition to the mostly medium-sized plastics processing companies, there are also around 50 supporting members from various industrial sectors.
In terms of sales, the full members represent over 80 percent of plastic packaging production in Germany. You can find a list of all our members in our annual report
In addition to representing political interests, our central tasks include public relations for the industry and its diverse products. We are also involved in technical standards and regulations and provide numerous services..
Elipso
Elipso is the French association representing plastic packaging manufacturers.
The plastic packaging industry in France employs 38,000 people in 320 companies (mostly SMEs) and has an annual turnover of 8.1 billion euros.
With more than 110 members, family businesses and international groups, Elipso represents the voice of the packaging industry to national and European bodies and informs its members about regulations and circular economy.
