2018 Edition Overview

The ceremony for the 4th edition of «PackTheFuture – The Sustainable Plastic Packaging Award», managed by ELIPSO & IK, the trade organisations representing plastic & flexible packaging in France and Germany, has taken place on November 27th 2018 in Paris at ALL4PACK, the unmissable event for the packaging sector.groupe

For the 4th PackTheFuture Award, a competition that is now a European benchmark in the plastic and flexible packaging sector, 48 entries were received from Austrian, French, German, Italian and Spanish firms, reflecting the sector’s dynamism and innovation capability.

The PackTheFuture Award is based on a joint initiative by ELIPSO, the French Plastics and Flexible Packaging Association, and the IK Industrievereinigung Kunststoffverpackungen e.V. The packaging prize aims to raise awareness throughout Europe for innovative and sustainable plastic packaging solutions.

Trophees are awarded for product developments in five categories

• Ecodesign
• Special award
• Product protection
• Social benefit
• Save Food

A Pre-Jury of experienced technical experts plus a cross-sector Grand Jury have chosen the winners in a rigorous selection process. We would like to take the opportunity to thank our jury teams who again have done a great job.
